First, I just want to say that I hope everyone here is fine and didn't suffer any major damage from Ike. We were blessed that we didn't and are trying to get back to our normal daily routines. However, I am finding it a little difficult, what with all the chaos and all.

Also, does anyone know of any Donation programs that go specifically to the victims of Hurricane Ike? I think I'm going to donate some of my proceeds to the victims. But I want to be sure it goes directly to the victims. Thanks in advance...

On to the pics :)

I don't know if I shared these here back in April. But I got around to proofing some more with my new mad PS skillz, yo! Sometimes I wish I could go back and re-do all of my images, but yes, I know, I will continue to grow and grow :)
Anyhow, last April I went out with a friend to shoot a bridal session :) Here are a few that I have been working on :) These were shot on the Strand.

The first and last, I used that Topaz Adjust plug-in I posted last week, on a layer mask :)

there are a few more on my flickr stream :)

The first and third were done using the Topaz Adjust plug-in. I used it on a duplicate layer, added a mask, and then masked out the skin. It doesn't look good on skin, but I love the contrast and edge it gives the brick in the background.

The middle image, I stared with an antique action (basically desaturates and adds a yellowish tone). I used Sparta (from the TRA2 action set), Created the blur using f/0 (from the same set) and then added my own texture layer (switching the blending mode to overlay, blurring out the texture on the skin by selecting and feathering the skin with the lasso tool and then using a gaussian blur to smooth it out).

Hope that helps!
