On Most days Miss Pam and I take both vehicles to work because I sometime leave at different times than she does or I have a couple of errands to make on the way in, as I did this morning.
So, I'm sittin' at the drive-thru at the credit union about a half hour ago and Miss Pam calls me from work. Our boss said there wouldn't be much for me to do today with all that standing water on the property (my job is strictly outside, maintenence work) so I could just stay home.
My poor little golfcart would be SOL today.
I just love a job that comes with the occasional rain-out!
I thought about going back to bed but I'm already up and showered and dressed and have a belly full of hot coffee workin' so I think I'll shuffle off into the kitchen and rattle those pots and pans and whup me up a good breakfast.
Guess I'll just spend the day running around the house in in my skivvies with my cell phone hooked onto my drawers. Maybe watch some of my Lonesome Dove movies.
Y'all be safe out there today. There is a lot of street flooding. If you come up on water that looks to deep to go through safely then PLEASE use good judgement and don't take the chance. Not too many things would be worth getting your car in water that is too deep. Brakes don't work well when they are wet and when they dry out they can grab and cause you to have an accident. And you don't EVEN want to get your engine wet, so PLease be careful out there today.
