Power is on for some folks and others soon. Looks like IKE's electrical aftermath will hurt you again. It's going to be in our wallets this time. So whats knew! The cost of the repairs to the electrical stations will be passed on to us. So why can't the BIG companies bill FEMA? Why us? Everything goes up but ur paycheck. No matter where the money comes from, the consumer will pay. Be it higher rates to offset repair costs or taxes to to shore up FEMA. Personally, I'd rather see a rate increase since they seem to be able to organize things a little better than FEMA> IMO.

Centerpoint already charged and average of 2.5 cents per kW more than the the TXU. The higher price was supposed to be due to the increased chances for massive repairs due to hurricanes and such. That means we've already been paying for this damage for years now. I don't understand why we need to pay again for the same thing that has already been paid for?????
