I have a CMC. I'm not sure as to what type of oil yours reqires but mine uses #2216 Mystic or equivalent, SAE 20 or 30 non detergent oil. http://www.cook-mfg.com/plownersmanual/PAGE61.htm
Might be something along those lines.

the oil in Bobs jackplates is 30 wieght NON-detergent oil. I went thru the same thing about 3 months ago. Make sure it is NON-detergent oil. That way it doesn't foam up when used. I had a hard time finding some at auto parts stores but the local marine dealer had it in stock. I'd suggest buying an extra quart and keep it on the boat in case you ever had a leak on the water and needed to move the plate. The same goes if you have hydraulic steering. Better safe than sorry.
Mine is a Detwiler not a Bob's. It says to have the hydrolic ram fully extended remove fill cap and fill to threads with Power Trim and Steering Fluid, or Dextron III ATF fluid.
PS I've had a lot of luck finding that Non detergent 30 wt. oil @ Walmart automotive Department.
make sure your hyrdrollic are full extened to prevent over fillin. that could really screw your resorvour up if you completly lower your plate and you crack it... ouch!...........JJ
