I have a 2007 22 ft illusion that has some serious rash and even a couple of gouges that need attention.

Any advice on best way to repair or get it looking good again?


sand and paint? re-gel coat?



What would I be looking at cost wise?

I have a buddy with an Illusion and he hit a piling in the ULM, made a huge gouge & nearly sunk his boat. He took it to a shop in corpus that does mainly custom fabrication for motorcycles and other one of fiberglass things. They patched him up pretty quick and he said it was pretty cheap compared with other quotes, also got him in and out quick. I would tend to be leary of taking something like this to a place that doesn't really specialize in boats only but he has been on the water at least twice a week since it happened early last summer with no issues.
