Just wondering how to go about locating the owner of a boat using the TX numbers. I've tried going through the TPWD, but no luck there. I'm wanting to make an offer on a boat that has sat in a storage yard unused for over a year now. Storage facility will not help. Any suggestions?

If you know a PD officer they should be able to run the TX number.

take the tx # to tpwd, give then two bucks or so, and get print out of listed owner. good luck.

You can't run a boat's TX numbers like a license plate, you have to send a request to TPWD via computer and they have 8 hours to respond while a license plate return is instant.
