My buddy and i went to my place in Rockport on Saturday and fished in the Aransas Bay area. We fished the guts of Mud Island and caught 18 keepers and about 70 other trout that were close but not quite keepers. Caught all on salt and pepper plastics. The fish wanted it worked with a steady retrieve not bounced up and down. It helped if the plastic had a paddle tail. Also fished 1 group of birds and caught a small speck and a Blactip Shark about 40 inches long. Im going to cook it tonight first time ive eaten any hope its good.
