Facebook Marketplace is the go to these days, if you have Facebook, or your wife does. Yes, you will get scammers, but you'll get way more views there than anywhere else.

 

I have mine on consignment now. 10% commission but they do inspection, list it, handle tire kickers and transfer of title at time of sell.

It's worth it...ton of scammers and tire kickers out there. I don't want to deal with that nonsense any longer

 

Where do you have it consigned? Thinking about doing this

WF do you mind telling me where you have it on consignment. I have a Kenner I want to sell and not sure if I can handle the scammers and tire kickers.

My last two vehicle sales came through FB market place. In the last 6 months I’ve sold a boat and a truck. Both were advertised here on 2Cool, and both garnered absolutely 0 interest here. Craigslist was the absolute worst. %100 scammers on Craigslist. FB Marketplace garnered the most legit interest, and eventual sale.

 

What i like about FB Marketplace is you can view the profile of your buyer. Lots of times this will tell you if it's a scammer, (they usually have a brand new account).

 

I did craigslist for a motorcycle. That will NEVER happen again. I told one guy he was about to get shot if he did not leave. Told one on the phone if he sent an agent of his to pickup the bike he had better have the money or he would be shot. He said he had already sent the money. I think the best one was when a guy had someone drop him off. They left and he wanted the key to take it for a test drive. Get to walking while you can. NEVER craigslist again. I think I will put my boat on FB and see what happens.
