After goin down for a work day @ my lease...
I was pondering ,whats the season gonna be like with all the Corn & Milo crops in our area being a total loss??
The Rice farmers are doin great..But the other guys...are Fubar..
Im glad Ive got rice this year...& My Ponds...(4) are full of groceries..
anyone else notice all the Brown crops?

corn is supposed to turn brown, it has to dry out before it can be harvested. No problem with corn, milo could possibly start to sprout in the field if too much rain for too long.

The milo is mildewed and is in bad shape. If it's not a total loss the price it gets once it's at the dryers won't pay for the seed.

corn is not dead from drowning, its run its life cycle. In this part of the country farmers start harvesting end of July first of August every year. Corn has to be, if I remember right, below 18% moisture before it can be stored. So long as their fields dry out, so they can get equipment in the fields, corn farmers are looking at a great year. But trouthunters right about the milo.
