I posted on craigslist looking for a sunfish or small aluminum boat to rig up for duck hunting. Someone offered me a free 16' aluminum boat. I went over to check it out and found a 16' boat which had been stripped of everything, HIN plate drilled off and TX numbers which had been wire wheeled off the boat. The TX numbers were the ONLY part of the boat wire wheeled, looked very suspicious. If you are in the Corpus Area and in the last year (looks to have sat at least 6 months) has had a 16x6' aluminum boat stolen let me know I can give you an address to go look. You can see over the low fence the boat.

yeah I REALLY would have loved to take it. I mean it's a free 1672 but in good conscience I couldn't. Needed some work in putting it back together, they took the console, and a seat out, but definatly salvageable. No way TPWD would issue a tx number with no title though.

now that I think about it... I think it was a 16x60 Bottom I think was only 5' wide.

Probably drifted in at the National seashore after Ike and the guy salvaged it off the beach. There were several boats that washed in there.
