Last week after the hurricane some chinooks, blackhawks and hueys were making daily fly-bys on the house to and from the Victoria airport. They must have moved to a closer base up there in Houston since I haven't seen them in a while.

Was this the Sunday after Ike? I was on the beltway around 59 south watching the two Airforce Special Operations command UH-60's working the SAR mission after the storm, catching a drink at about 2000ft from a special ops C130 tanker. It is sort af a sight that makes one proud of what our military can do...
