I now have a Suburban and my boat rig weighs 6,000 lbs. The smaller yet more powerful Dodge Durango with the Hemi sounds attractive. Anyone have one...and have you towed a heavy load with it? Thanks.

I don't think teh new HEMI is all it is cracked up to be. First off the new Durango is kind of ugly to me. And I wouldn't feel to comfortable in a small Durango with a boat that big behind me.

IF you want to have a Dodge I would suggest a Dodge Ram with a Cummin Deisel.

I have a 2500 Quad 4x4 with the hemi. If you go with one of these get a new brake system right after you leave the lot. I drug a 4000lb trailer to CC and This rig dont stop. It does pull grate but it just does not stop. I am researching a new system mulit piston callipers etc.

what mike said....if you are going to tow, get something that is made for it. not to mention the 18mpg you get with the cummins as opposed to the 6 you will get if you are lucky towing with the hemi.
