The last few months I've had what appears to be small hair floating around in my right eye. I would have never heard of floaters if not for one of the women I work with talking about it. She ended up having the fluid changed in her eyes(saline solution), Looked it up and say's not to worry about it as it should go away. Just annoying!

Yep...have had one in my left eye for about 4 yrs now....Opthamologist (MD doctor for eyes) says not to worry about it...you will get used to it! Well...I have learned to tolerate it...but I will never get used to it. Mine looks like a mesquito. I have never heard anything about changing fluid in your eye..and Dr didn't say anything about it either.

Oh, squiggly line, it's all right. You are forgiven."

I got a couple in my right eye. They come and go. I have been working around lasers for years, and I've had a couple instances where I got glance of one while it was on. I think thats what has caused mine. It doesn't affect my vision as much as gettin' older.

Hopefully you saw an eye specialist and not just your family physician. Mine was caused by veins growing in the back of my eyes and the blood leakeage. Dr. fired hundreds of little laser shots to the back of my eye to keep the veins from growing. This was about 15 years ago and haven't had any problems since. In my case, left unchecked my retna could have detached and caused blindness. Not saying this is your problem but when I had a spider web appear and I went to my Dr. he said it would probably dissapear in a week or so and when it didn't he sent me to a specialist in eye diseases.

see a retina specialist. I had too as I wound up having a hole in the back of my retina. Floaters can be indicative of serious eye problems including detached retina as I understand. God didn't give us extra eyeballs!

guess what it aint going away, being a ex-welder, i thought i had asomething in my eye one morning and went to the eye dr., he gave me a book on floaters and flashers, ive got a floter in my right eye and basiclly he told me not to worry about it unless my eye stars to get more bigger spot that starts making your vision blind, then will have to do surgery, youll get use to it , dont let it bother you,, http://www.bing.com/health/article....f9ce4ec3d.html&br=lv&q=eye+floaters&FORM=K1RE
Most eye floaters require no treatment. If your eye floaters are so numerous that they significantly interfere with your vision, your doctor might suggest a surgical procedure that uses a hollow needle to withdraw the vitreous from your eye. The vitreous is replaced with a saltwater solution. However, this procedure can cause retinal detachment and cataract, and it may not remove all floaters., :ac550: NO THANKS

I had one for probably ten years. It happened after getting hit in the eye by a tennis ball. I never saw it coming and I don't think I even closed my eyes when it hit. I did notice that it has gone away, but it was annoying for a long time.

I get them in both eyes. Sometimes in both at the same time. I have not had one in a couple months and before that at least almost a year. Mine look like chromesomes.

My wife has has two episodes of flashers and floaters. Retinal specialist the first time and was told not much to worry about unless you get flashers, then to ER. Hers seems to be related to migraines.

I would see an Ophthalmologist to ensure it was just floaters and no other conditions to be concerned about. Eyes are too precious to take a chance on.

I use to work as a tech in an eye doctors office. One morning an older lady came in and as I started asking her history from her last visit until then she mentioned she had a big floater. She began telling me of how she was driving one day and thought she saw a wasp in her car. she was swatting at it and nearly wrecked because of the "wasp". Later she found out it was just a floater. I thought that was pretty funny.
