Pretty much the same gun as a SBE and much better price. I shoot pump guns, but I hunt regularly with three guys that have I-12s and love them. I have shot a couple and it will be the first auto-loader I get.
its not the same as the SBE II. Do a search on Franchi I-12 here on 2cool. I posted my review after a few hunts. I got mine right after teal season closed and I like it quite a bit.
Its not the same as an SBE II though...PM me if you want ill tell you all about it.
The design is actually IDENTICAL to the Stoeger 2000 with the only exception being the location of the recoil spring. In the Stoeger the recoil spring is located in the stock, behind the bolt/action. In the I-12 it is located inside the forearm, in front of of the bolt/action. Makes it a breeze to disassemble/clean.
excellent gun - bought one a few years ago, not one regret. Picked it up in walnut stock for about $ 699. Fits great, shoots great, excellent gel recoil pad.
Can't say enough about it. For the money, I'd take it over anything else.
