These people are not going to go away and no amount of talking, reasoning, or any other form of communication is going to change them. BUT the average person can fight fire with fire. Viacom is a good example of what pressure from the public will do. Sit down and write a letter, contact the sponsors, contact your legislators, go after the companies that do business with these people let them know of your position. It works, Wayne Smith state rep for Deer Park has heard from me on several occasions and I am convinced the legislators take notice. Remember, IF YOU DON'T STAND UP AND BE HEARD no one will listen!

I agreed, but I agree to disagree on that one. I have the upmost respect for CCA and Pat Murray, but honestly, the first I heard of that billboard was on TTMB and TKF. As soon as I could ID the company involved, I posted up with contact info for the same. I also voiced my opinion, both here and in email to Viacom about how offensive I found that billboard. That billboard is history, but I didn't read about it in the Galveston Daily News, nor on the CCA website. More power to anyone who took the time to complain.

It's just my personal opinion, but it seems to me a few local fishing websites took the lead on getting this billboard removed, and I thank y'all for that.

Yep, I had already shot off complaints before Mr. M even saw the billboard. It was on here 5 days earlier.

Hunters and fishermen better join forces to combat PETA, they are getting more bold with their advertising in the southern states where they haven't been before. The battle is just beginning and PETA is well armed and financed. They are not funny and we better stop laughing and take them serious.
