Thanks to all that have called and emailed checking on my status after Ike. As many of you know, my home was pretty much ground zero when the storm hit. The bottom floor is gone but luckily the top floor was unscathed. We're in the process of cleaning and getting her back to normal as soon as possible, however this weekend seemed like a good time to head to the lease in South Texas and pop some doves and relax.
Thanks again to everyone. I've attached some photos of before and after. One of them is just as I found it. My entire downstairs bedroom was completely cleared out, like I had decided to turn it into a garage but on the wall, above where my headboard had been was the cross I'd put there 5 years ago when I moved in. My son and I had a pretty sobering moment when we both saw it at the same time.
I hope everyone else affected is seeing the road to recovery good for them as well.
