I agree. The dividing line is evil (darkness) vs. good (Christ).
Some on this forum may not see this as a spiritual struggle, but I believe in my heart, this is what is happening. Those who support the killing of infants, remind me of the god Molech where Canaanites would offer their newborns to be brutally killed as a way of gaining prosperity and good fortune. During the sacrificial process, the Canaanites would light a fire inside or around the metal statue to heat up the statue as hot as they could. Then they would place their newborns into the red-hot arms of Molech and watch their child die a horrible death.
During this gruesome event, the Canaanites would play flutes and bang on drums to drown out the sound of their shrieking children. It’s truly awful stuff. No different than the abortion of infants, who now total per year between 40-50 million. The Democrats who vote for this and who are dividing our country, need our prayers also. May God help all people to see the evil upon the face of the earth.
Hello billyii....glad you stepped out and posted. This is a time when all of us need to speak up and call out and recognize the evil in our political system. We have to change the downward spiral that elected democrats have initiated for the destruction of our way of life. They control the media, various levels of FBI, IRS, etc., to bring about their evil agenda. Yes, Trump was not supposed to win and he did great things for America. Some people did not like his attitude and big mouth. I understand that, but his actions were done to preserve our America and protect us from inside and outside threats. Most people realize the 2020 election was rigged. But a reckoning will happen, I pray, to put America back on the path of freedom for all and a justice system that is fair.
The battle for America is a battle of the spirit within all of us. Good is evil. Evil is good. Boys can be girls. Girls can be boys. Boys and Girls can be neither. The logic and nature of people are
being little by little taken away, so that the good in us, is replaced with lies and deception. We all know what is of God and what is not. Our weapon against this onslaught is to be good examples
to others and to pray for all, no matter who they are. Christ died on the cross for all, no matter who they were. He has taken all the sins ever committed or will be committed upon Himself. Why?
Because He loves us and wants us to know, that He understands pain, and evil, and no matter what, He shows us goodness and forgiveness. And we need to do the same for everyone. Be good examples to your family, friend, co-workers and respect others and pray for all. This is a time of great evil upon the world. We all know this....but some would rather believe all is okay. The deception of
satan is far advanced in the world. Pray and forgive others and be good examples.
I do not disagree with you SeaOx as to the inevitable. But throughout history and bible verses, we see that God raises up certain people to help us. Moses, David, etc.
I believe America is a great force for good in the world. Perhaps we might lose, perhaps not. The eventual return of Christ is the final event, but until then, I believe we must fight for freedom and pray for others. Never giving up, as Christ never gave up.
dk2429. We all have the right to free speech. But there is a deeper side to being a follower of Christ which is what this thread is all about. The division you refer to, is between good and evil and those that represent these choices.
If you don't stand up for what is morally wrong ( killing infants in the womb) and say it doesn't affect you, it is your choice. God gave each of us free will. The killing of infants is wrong. And if you say, so what, it doesn't affect me, it begs the question, why doesn't it? You could make the same claim about a robber who shot and killed someone. It doesn't affect you, so in your logic, you give them a pass?
The division in America is not because of the left or right political alignment, it is because of the corruption of the moral law and an agenda that is being pushed to change America into a socialist/communistic/atheist country. I probably am over talking about this point, but if you don't stand up for Christs' teaching and God's commandments, who do you represent? All Christians should resist "a do nothing" approach to the killing of infants and the politicians who support this evil."
We all make choices in this life, and our choices have consequences. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. I choose Christ and His message.
Defending innocent life is all of our responsibility. Luke 18:20
I understand your thoughts on measuring quantifiable prosperity, etc., , but I believe the moral law, God's law is being disregarded. The murdering of our own children with 1.5 billion abortions worldwide to date or. 20% of the population. The decay of the moral law has been the downfall of many civilizations. That is why I ask for prayers for America and I should have added the world as well. My time on earth is very limited due to my age, but voices need to be raised when evil makes people think it is okay to murder babies. And politicians pass laws to do just that. The Bible tells us a day will come, when evil is good and good is evil. Some people don't see the evil around them and others do. Prayers do not cost a penny but are worth all the gold in the world.
Founded in 1865, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) extended into almost every southern state by 1870 and became a vehicle for white southern resistance to the Republican Party’s Reconstruction-era policies aimed at establishing political and economic equality for Black Americans. Its members waged an underground campaign of intimidation and violence directed at white and Black Republican leaders. Though Congress passed legislation designed to curb Klan terrorism, the organization saw its primary goal–the reestablishment of white supremacy–fulfilled through Democratic victories in state legislatures across the South in the 1870s. Democratic convention embraces Black Lives Matter. Washington Post August 18, 2020
WILMINGTON, Del. — The Democratic Party fully embraced the imagery and themes of the Black Lives Matter movement on its convention's first night Monday, highlighting family members of Black men who have been killed by police and showing footage of marches through American cities.
At one point, the program was paused so viewers could observe a moment of silence for George Floyd, whose death at the hands of Minneapolis police ignited the current racial reckoning.
“When this moment ends, let’s make sure we never stop saying their names,” said Philonise Floyd, one of George Floyd’s brothers, echoing one of the protesters’ slogans.
The demonstrators have urged Americans to remember the names of the victims of police brutality, rather than consigning them to anonymity as has happened so often in the past. Overall, the night’s program reflected a remarkable development in American politics, as a major party sought to associate itself fully with an emerging protest movement.
The full-fledged support showcased the effort by Joe Biden’s campaign and the Democrats to tap into the energy that has brought tens of thousands of people into the streets to protest systemic racism. Biden’s team has said they hope to boost turnout among Black voters and young people, two groups that have fueled the demonstrations. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...de2ce8-e0f7-11ea-b69b-64f7b0477ed4_story.html
