Caught this movie on the sat. this morning.
Its about the vietnamese coming into the texas shrimping business back in the 70's and 80's . Movie was based on events that happened here in Kemah but it was filmed down in Rockport.
Starred Ed Harris and Amy (magdalen? )
And also Ry Cooder did the sound track which was pretty good .

Yeah, One of my High school buddies from Portland was one of the actors (blonde haired kid) not a bad movie though. I think they filmed it in '83 or' 84

Cool deal. I remeber seeing him. He was one of the teenagers running around in the chopped truck.

Anyway it was a decent movie with local intereast and scenery .
