I'm looking to buy some new spinning gear for king fishing. i was wondering what type yall use. i'm looking for rod and reel. the rod needs to be at least 6'6. also i was looking for a rod that has all metal eyes i'm tired of the glass eyes breaking on me, and something that can chunk lures well.

I have a Penn Power Stick with a Penn 6000 reel. It works quite well and the rod has held up great for 5 yrs. Just had to replace the top eye last summer!

I second the ugly stick with shimano baitrunner, 4500 0r 6500. I have two of each and really like the "extra" drag for trolling or even floating a balloon out when tied off of a platform. The ugly stick is reasonably priced and a tough rod.
