It was kind of funny hearing these guys say...if we were fishing on our own, we would have never stayed once the bite shut down. Furthermore, wading the same area 3 to 4 times was crazy. The best was, catching trout to 8 lbs in calf-deep water in July All of these crazy things we did. I felt like staying put on a Saturday was the best strategy. And, to stay put meant wading our area over and over. Slicks were popping in less then a foot of water. A small round slick normally indicates big trout. Longer wider slicks, normally signals school trout.
