Incredible and congratulations. That it is an awesome fish and video. What type of trolling squid was that?
Honestly, I could not tell you. All I know is that it a green colored door knob. Lest week it produced a wahoo, had a white marlin flash at it, and lost another good fish.

This week, it produced the blue marlin and the larger of the two wahoo.

From what I understand from my boss, it the lure that always gets hit.

Question?

Good one Bum - very few guys could land a fish like that on stand up gear in a relatively small boat. Looks like y'all had some great water.
What disadvantages does a smaller boat have in landing a bigger fish? Or is it the larger boat handling better in bigger waves?

One thing, a smaller boat will not have a fighting chair. So stand up tackle can be tough and risky on a big fish.

On a smaller boat, the hull is usually narrower and can cause a lot of side to side rocking in rougher seas making difficult to keep your balance.

Cool Thanks,

Hey Bum whats the 1st Dumbest city in the US ???
Don't know....I don't know if Corpus Christi is still the 2nd dumbest city in the US anymore. I think that was from 2004. They figure it out by looking at the number people living in the city vs the number of people living in that city with a degree.

For the billfishers:

Ok, as stated, we marked the boat the best we could. The total length was 153 inches. We figured taking 48 inches away for the bill and tail. Sound reasonable? Makes the body length of 105 inches.

I think 60 inches is reasonable for a girth. Plug into the formula: 60x60x105= 472.4 pounds. Does that sound reasonable? I could believe that weight.
