Thanks to all of you for your prayers.
Here is the latest as of today. They are giving Kevin a decent chance of survival. On Tuesday he will go through a 10 hour surgery to start reconstructing his face. On Thursday he will go through another 10 hour surgery for the same.
I finally got the details of the accident. He was moving at a high rate of speed when he jumped a ravine in the woods. The 4 wheeler flipped end over end so that his face was the first to hit the ground at what the boys are telling us at a speed of 40 mph, then the 4 wheeler landed on top of his head. Although he was wearing a helmet in this type of accident it had little affect. The helmet came off upon initial impact.
The two boys that were with him were the only reason he is alive. One of the 16 year old boys had just finished being certified in CPR, and was able to roll him over and clear his throat, he lost all of his teeth except for a few molars in the back. Once the young man determined he didn't have a pulse and was not breathing, this young man began CPR until the other boy was able to flag down a car who called 911.
Right now they are saying some brain damage and that he will never regain sight in his left eye. However, at this point we are thanking the Lord he is alive.
Thank you for your posts and prayers. He has a long road ahead of him, but we are optimistic that he will be with us. They are saying at a minimum 9 months in a hospital.
