My wife and I are looking to buy a 2017 TRACKER Pro 170 and want to know pros and cons about this boat. I am also looking at the 2017 TRACKER Pro Team 175 TF and trying to find the pros and cons of both. I am new to boating and price is a factor in our search. We are going to use this boat as a pleasure boat and some fishing. Any help will be appreciated.

Opinions will likely be highly based on intended use and situational. Shoot these guys some more info for example freshwater, saltwater, kids, what kind of pleasure boating skiing and tubing and such, what kind of fishing, etc...

IMO there's SO many options I'd think you'll find a much better lightly used boat in the same price range, but that's just me. You have to take your time and shop around, click every link in the Classifieds here not because you're interested but to just keep that mental price gauge going so when you run across a great deal you're familiar with options and pricing and can jump on it.

I would suggest looking up Tracker boat reviews online if you haven't already. I can't speak on their quality personally but there are a ton of negative reviews out there. A lot had to do with trying to get work done under warranty IIRC. Good luck.

Bruce, since you've never owned a boat before-don't buy a new one. Regardless of how much research you do, regardless of how much advice you get-you'll never get the perfect boat for you the first time. Your style of fishing, your style pleasure, will be different than anybody else. Buy used. Learn what you like and what you dislike. Once you figure that out, pull the trigger on a new rig.

If I was to buy new, it definitely wouldn't be a Tracker.

This right here. It took me 3 boats to figure out what I really wanted.
