I have a 2015 Nautical Star 1910. I reall y enjoy my boat but I'm having a problem with the front live well. I took it in for my 20 hour service and asked service manager to look at the live well, he said no problem they are not positioned correctly in the boat and should be an easy fix. Well when I returned to pick my boat up from repair the live well was not fixed and said to bring it back. I called a couple of weeks ago and said I was now able to bring the boat in for repair and now they tell me it is out of warranty. In my option this is BS, if there is a known issue there should be a recall not just expect that you own a boat you have money because I sure don't. So my question is, does anyone know how to repair, is there a video? Is it common to have another boat dealer service your boat.

Thanks in advance, IS

Need more information on what's wrong .. my 2015 back live well leaks if you over fill it .. its an insert and they didn't seal the top . I tried to seal it but can't get too it .. front live well is useless unless you are sitting still in my boat ..

The dealer said it is not positioned correctly but what that means I don't know that's why I was asking if there was a video on u-tube or something.

The back well works fine does not leak at this time but only have 33 hours on the boat.

The front when turned on does not have any water coming out, almost like it needs to be primed. It did work the first time I used my boat but that was it. When I called the dealer they said it was a common problem and just needed to re-position the pump but when I dropped it off they said they didn't have time to fix and I would need to bring it back, now out of warranty.

may sound like a silly question, but are you moving or stationary while trying to fill the livewells? If I am under way at all, the pumps can't pull water from the intakes at the back of the boat, holding still they both fill up no problem. Hope this helps.

My front one works great it's the back one on my boat that barely puts any water in when I turn on. Dealer told me it was sucking air. It started working then it stopped again. Wish I could help you.

I also need to add that this is my first boat so I could be doing something wrong, you tell me.

1. Buy bait
2. put tube in live well to keep live bait from escaping.
3. put bait in live well
4. turn live well on, nothing - sitting or running.

Did I leave a step out? I know this is silly for most but I'm trying...

Kinda just sounds like a bad pump or connection going to or from. I'm pretty sure it's not a position thing, doesn't really matter where it's at, the pump will get water there. But yeah, it's BS on the dealer not helping out.

I had the same issue with 2015 214 xts they wouldnt fix mine either but i figured it out after a years worth of ******* match with the dealer ( i lost the ******* match) but anyway i had a wash down pump in the boat and it shares the same suction as front livewell pump all i do is start my wash down pump till it primes and the the front live well picks right up.

Live well Pump

You're pump should be located in one of your rear compartments. The pump should have a thru hull fitting with a screen located on the back of your transom. Once you locate it, you may want to try to pull the pump itself out of the base to ensure you do not have any debris wedged in the pump. There should be two tabs that you will depress and pull the pump out. Once removed you can activate your switch to ensure you are getting power to the pump itself.

Here is a short example I found on you tube

the through hull intakes are on your transom, there should be 2 screen domes, one on each side of your drain plug, this is where the live wells pull water in and drain out to. if you look inside your hatch, the one right in front of the engine, straight down on the bottom of the boat you will see the bilge pump, attached to the transom (on the inside) you will see a pump on each side. those are the live well pumps. I am going from memory here, I think they are on the inside of the transom, if not they are on the bottom.
