I was eating lunch in Clear Lake yesterday (06/12/06) at the Oriental Gourmet on el camino and ramada from 11:45 to 12:25 and when I walked out the front door I did not see my truck. I was hoping my brother was playing a "funny" joke on me, but he assured me he wasn't. My truck had been stolen! So I called HPD and filed a report and spent half the day talking to my insurance company. This is just unbelievable! I have worked very hard and earned what I have and some p.o.s. took it away. The insurance company will take care of me, but thats besides the fact. I need my truck for my business! Anyway, if anyone spots a red 2004 F-250, powerstroke, 4 door, license number 51HRL1 give HPD a call! I'm sure its gone by now, but I thought I would vent a little and maybe someone will see it. It also had the words "Captain Cody's Adventures" on the back with my phone number.

Truck Found!

I had a lady call me today and ask if I was o.k. and I said what are you talking about. She replied "your truck has been sitting in my front of my house for 2.5 days!" I told her my truck had been stolen and she said "well its right here!" So I called the police and went over there to confirm and sure enough it was there! They took all my stereo equipment, a tackle bag with lures, sunglasses, camera and some other stuff, but boy am I glad to have my truck back! The police didn't even bother with fingerprints, but I'm sure they deal with a lot of these everyday. Thanks for all the support.

Thats what I was thinking

My truck had just been washed and cleaned inside and out and I could see fingerprints on the wood grain plain as day. They where all over the passenger side door and I hadn't had anyone on that side since I washed it on Sunday. They used a generic key to get inside my truck (after scratching up the door and door handle) then they used that same key to get the truck started, but in the process managed to break the ignition. But I feel really lucky to have her back!
