HTM was running a 20 foot Lake and Bay and that boat can't be that great in the rough stuff either.

Im a big boy, and I took it as a joke, but I did give a nod to the Pot Meet Kettle comment... sometimes poeple get a little to offended or in some cases say things that will offend... keep it fun and informative... Cheers!!!!

Not sure what to make of this boat, You for sure lose alot of room up front with the pointed bow. It also is a flat bottom cat, so still pretty rough. Looks like its built very well... interesting, never heard of them until this link.

To answer your question, even though it wasn't directed at me. I've ran one since 07 and my experience is a bit different than HTM's. Under a tournament load ( 2 people, gear, 60 gal fuel, chapstick, two ready made sandwiches, four bottled waters, and a can of pringles) our draft was in the 11-12" range. I'd have to say it has what is likely to be one of the best rides in it's class in open water. For a 20' boat it will eat up a chop be it into or straight down. Quartering may lack something to be desired. Great all around boat, and quick.. The service through Lake and Bay was second to none.

I agree with Lwgbully, iahve ridden on the two different SHoalwater Cats, Hell I had cash to put down to Gene to have one built, the shallow water capabilities were awsome until I asked for an open bay demo, that boat cannot even compare to the 20' Lake and Bay as far as rough water ride, Lake and Bay is much much dryer and smoother. I read all these posts about how the Cats eat the chop, but in reality they are just mediocre i rough water. But I have not been on a boat that does it all yet, I thought the shoalwater 23 Cat was that boat but I was disappointed. It is a great boat but does not do it all.
