How often do you change braided line on the reels ? I have had mine for 3 years so far . 30lb line . Power pro . Still working . I get rid of the front casting part of the spool more often .

reverse the line to get more life. the line at the bottom of the reel is new, reverse the line on the reel. i use a drill to do this. first remove the line onto a empty spool, then move the line from that spool to another spool, then back on the reel. The old line will be on the bottom, the new will be on the top.

I leave it on till it get hairy looking. Once it starts doing that it actually has a lot of wind resistance and casts bad.

Going on 10 years on my bay and offshore rigs, PowerPro, still going strong.

No default rule, braid is not UV sensitive like mono, so it just depends on line appearance / usage

Soooo, not very long then ;-)

LOL

I use it as long as it's giving me break offs or getting fuzzy. I will reverse it and use that but if it starts breaking and your reverse doesn't cover your cast then change it.

Right now I'm on one year of Fins Windtamer on a Concept C lol. I have all my Concept reels setup to my exact liking. Brakes on 2, tensioner to where the bait just falls freely. When I'm feeling it I'll take the brakes off but that's usually when the new braid kicks in

Just messing with you. ;-) Jeez don't be so serious. A year is doable.. most the guides I know with lot's of time on the water will change yearly but for weekend fisherman 2 years is good number.
