flounder Battle grounds Sabine Pass

So went to check on the flat fish migration the other day. And what I found was looking good. But on the other hand that three old men I should say grumpy old men lol catching flats. At one point I walked by them and they had 8 flounder laying in the grass. So I had to say it and I did TWO over your limits and the reply was they aren’t on my stringer or in my cooler so they can’t prove they are mine. Wow I said I guess the game wardens don’t go out to the park I guess. Everyone else was catching fish and kinda stayed away from them. I know I should have called and reported them but I didn’t I’m just wondering if they go everyday and do that. I will be in my boat the next three days and I will see if they are still catching them and keeping them.

no reason to abuse the limits, it's why we get things like the red snapper closure

game management works, and for the most part the regulations are sensible.

Operation Game Thief ... 800-792-4263 it is totally confidential. I keep it on my phone ..... what they were doing was illegal ...... this poaching affects all of us that want to use our state resources. I do not tolerate a game thief ... do your part and make the call .... let the Game Warden handle it ... they are the Pros.

I cannot believe the number of flounder being caught. Most are fishing near the Chenere tanks by that wall and all around that area on the Louisiana side. I watched a couple of boats catch a good number of flounder and reds, go to the dock on Louisiana side, give their ice chest to a waiting party and get another. They then returned to the same spot and start catching again. The party who met them then crossed the bridge back into Texas. In what I was seeing, everyone was catching flounder. Doing contract work at the plant Im in prime location to observe this.

Two Jefferson County Game Wardens seized 105 flounder, of which 62 were undersized, 2 oversized redfish, and 19 lightning welks from 2 men near Port Arthur yesterday.

With all that fish why keep the tasty over sized reds?

Where they load the LNG is off limits but up a little bit where the concrete wall is located it is not. What gets me I sit and watched as ships go down the channel water being sucked out of the area and the flounder flopping in the mud. Several guys are not getting out of their boats and picking them up before the water comes back.

Nothing to see here just some good ole Texas boys catching LA limits right?

Just kidding of course. But in a way not...…..

The so called LA limits loophole needs to be shutdown. It makes it way to easy to cheat.
