Sargent Full Moon
We fished Sargent last night thinking the moon would be good for some topwater action but the wind didnt cooperate. We checked my usual spots but that was a no go also as the tide was a lot higher than normal and bait was scattered. Water color wasnt bad in ICW or Mitchell's but we couldnt see enough to gig with the lights we had. Finally found a mess of fish that were smashing the shrimp. Lots of undersized throwbacks around the 10" size for flounder and trout and the reds were mostly in the 19" range. Sand trout were full of shrimp and plentiful. Mosquitoes didn't start until early AM when the wind started to subside. Sorry no pics for this trip.
