Wow! A real giant! I probably would not dare to come close to such a monster to take a photo. Although it is drier, they are not as agile and fast as in water, but they look frightening.

that's a baby as compared to the behemoth at Sam Rayburn. I first saw him about 20 years ago and he was the size of the one in this picture. Today he's in excess of 16ft long and lives in the Deer Stand area of Rayburn. He swam under my bay boat a couple of years ago and his width was almost as wide as the boat! That's cool! I have never seen such huge ones in my life. I saw small ones, but once again I don't bother with them, out of harm's way. Still, if you don't know how to handle such a monster, then it's better not to risk it. I'm not an expert in how to drive an alligator away from me, for example.
