I know this might seem early, but the 2007 SHOT Show is less than 2 months away now. Any 2coolers attending? I know RandyM was at the 2006 one in Vegas last time. This year it will be in Orlando Florida.
If anyone is going to the show, or if anyone received the Smith & Wesson invite, post up or shoot me a PM, it would be nice to meet up.

Sorry for the late follow up palisade. Yes we will be at the Outdoor Channel party, I've been to it the last 3 years, its a pretty good gig.

So I assume you are with the Media or with someone who has hooks into the Outdoor Channel? Here is a SHOT media advisory that just came out if you havent seen it.

MEDIA ADVISORY

SHOT Show: 'Outdoor Media Event of the Year'
What Attending Media Should Know About the 2007 Show
BACKGROUND: The 29th annual SHOT Show®―the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show―is set for the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., Jan. 11-14. Owned by the National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), which is the industry trade association, and managed by Reed Exhibitions, the show will attract exhibitors, buyers and media from 50 states and 75 countries. The show features previews of the industry's newest products that will adorn the shelves of gun and sporting goods shops in the coming year.
RECORD SIZE FOR 2007:SHOT Show has reached record proportions yet again. With more than 1,900 exhibiting companies, total exhibit space (not including aisles) is now at 653,000 square feet and still growing, meaning the 2007 show is already more than 36,000 square feet larger than last year's record-setting show. SHOT Show was honored this year by Tradeshow Week magazine as one of its "Fastest 50," an award given annually to tradeshows with the greatest growth in net square footage over the preceding three years. Tradeshow Week ranks SHOT Show as the nation's 27th largest tradeshow.
NEW FOR THIS YEAR: The SHOT Show Press Room (Room N312) is sponsored this year by Budweiser.
Don't miss NSSF's State of the Industry Dinner-Concert Gala, sponsored by Realtree, ESPN, Ducks Unlimited and Budweiser. The evening will include musical performances by Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, as well as a presentation of the first Grits Gresham Award for the Professional Outdoor Media Association's communicator of the year. Tickets may be purchased at www.shotshow.org.
SPECIAL MEDIA INFORMATION: SHOT Show remains closed to the public, open only to industry professionals age 16 and over.
Last year, a record 1,200-plus members of the media attended. NSSF encourages pre-registration to avoid lines and waiting to register on site. If pre-registered by Nov. 30, badges will be mailed in advance. Otherwise, badges will be held for pick-up at the Press Room. For pre-registration info, click here.
If you were expecting to receive your badge in the mail but it does not arrive, see us in the Press Room.
All broadcast badges must be picked up in the Press Room and require a signature on a video and television agreement form.
Badge holders and press ribbons are available in the Press Room.
Like last year, media badges this year will feature a barcode. This barcode is for your convenience. For example, if you're visiting a participating exhibitor, and would like to receive that company's press kits or other literature, simply scan your barcode into that company's data collection system. You'll automatically be added to their mailing list. No more lugging around heavy press kits, unless, of course, that's your preference.
Press conferences are being held before, after and throughout the show, some catered, some by invitation only. For exhibitors who have informed us of their plans, and wish to extend their invitation to all media, NSSF will post a listing of press conferences in the Press Room. Many press conferences are being scheduled for Room N313, next door to the Press Room. Other press conferences may be held during the show, on and off the show floor, but there is no comprehensive listing of all press conferences.
As always, the Press Room will feature complimentary use of personal computers with CD burners and Internet connections, fax and photocopy service, literature tables, beverages and morning pastries, and personal assistance from NSSF staff. Also remember that media are welcome to use the NSSF Member Lounge (N311) anytime during the show, where lunch is available for a moderate price.
Wireless Internet service may be purchased from a vendor who serves the Orange County Convention Center. See details in the Press Room.
A radio broadcast booth may be reserved by e-mailing swagner@nssf.org. Those who have reserved time slots will receive a separate communication from NSSF to confirm details.
