My buddy from Columbus sent me these. Supposedly the one buck was already dead when they found them locked up. Not sure if the other one made it or not.
I guess he was thinking they are on protien to have such nice racks, but the truth is if you let them grow to 5.5-7.5 they will get this big free range.
Just a friggin observation dude!
Man, folks are too tense lately!
All I was assuming is that for that area, "natural" deer don't tend to get that big on the average.
I didn't realize I was stepping on toes or hurting someone's tender feelings.
For that, I humbly apologize.
Geeeeze.
No hurt feelings but they do get that big out there if they make it thru a few hunting seasons. They get that big here in Ft Bend County also. Your remark sounded like another high fence/low fence jab to me. If it was not then no harm no foul...
a few years back my buddy shot a 10pt. dragging a big dead 12pt., the coyotes had already gotten to the bottom half of the 12 when he found them. It did however make a very cool mount with the two locked up, that hung in the corner of his living room!
Actually I recieved that e-mail last season. With same information as to area. Supposedly the other deer did survive. Funny how these things resurface after another season starts.
I can't imagine both deer surviving and it would take some balls to try and separate them because you know the live one would be ticked! In pic 5 they both look dead.
They are real, I think it was more than a year ago though. Happened right outside of Giddings, I think I still have the write up in the giddings paper.
killer pics i really enjoyed them as for the popcorn comnversation let all go hunting and we will all feel better
