well today was a kids day -it was my boys first hunt and my daugher has been many times before-- all my son could say was we gonna shoot hogs--i was just hoping to see something with a 4 year old in the stand he did really good for the first 45 min. then thank god he fell asleep --i was just glad to get them in the woods we hung a feeder and put up a referbished box stand--here are some pics of our day out--no hogs or deer but just a good time together:ac550:
The problem today is we don't have enough Dad's doing what your doing. A++++. It's sad that more fathers don't get thier children involved as you are... Great Job!
Sounds like an awesome time. I started takin my boy last year (he was 2 y/o), and it definetly added a new degree of difficulty, but he caught on. Packed a bag of toys to entertain him with and carried an extra bag with his small sleeping bag in it. He was in the blind with me when I shot a 200lb+ hog and a spike. Having him there made it all the more special. He got to see all kinds of critters and would get a kick out of wakin up and seeing deer or hogs. Enjoy the huntin with the kiddos and good luck on your season!!!
Man, how comfortable does the floor of that blind look, no worries, Dad is watching over us and he is taking us hunting with him. Man its cool to be a kid, but ain't it great being the Daddy. I gotta drop a greenie on ya!!
i look forward to the day i can lay on the floor of the blind and take a nap while the kids watch and let me know when they show--lol:smile:
