Havens mako is one heck of a ride. Looks nice too.

I have someone test driving it this weekend, if they choose not to buy it then it will be posted on the classified section next week.

Beaver Tail

I'll throw a boat out there that you could look at. It's similar to a Hell's Bay, but is a lot cheaper. Get a new boat for around 15k.~Neumie

Thanks for the link, I have never heard of or seen one of those boats. After looking at the website I am pretty impressed. Are you talking 15K for boat/motor/trailer?

Under the Boat Specs it gives the priceing for the tiller or console models. Then scroll down some more for all the prices of options available. I'm not sure if that boat price includes a trailer. Seems to me it would come with at least a galvanized trailer, because the aluminum trailer is an option. Their Pro Side Console boat with 40hp 2stroke Yamaha, and aluminum trailer (no other options) checks in at 14879 + ttl.(according to the website). You should check out the video that they have on the web or get the free dvd. To me, for the money, thats a sweet ride. My friend has talked to the rep here in Corpus, and will probably purchase this boat within a year.~Neumie

I believe Beavertail is supposed to be coming out with a "Texas Tunnel" version at some point as well.

Here's another boat to consider. Its the range banshee. I researched poling skiffs for about 18 months and flew to Fl on three seperate ocassions to demo every poling skiff I could. It was a challenge finding a skiff that would preform well her in TX. I need ultra skinny draft, great hull shot, be able to run shallow, and hopefully not beat me to death. I really wasn't on that much of a budget but I wasn't going to spend 40k on a 17' skiff with a 60 merc....I can't justify that in my mind.

As this boat sits, I cost 17k out the door. That includes the boat, motor, alum trailer, jackplate, and aluminum work. I have enjoyed every second on water with this little boat.
