Surf Changed over night / Galveston

Saw all the postings about the flat surf and exploding trout strikes over the last 3 days. Took the day off and wouldn't you know it, surf's up! Cooler weather brought in the wind, combined with the high tide, had 3-5 breakers at Pean Rd and FM3005 Free Beach.

Word must have gotten out, at 6am, there were already about 20 guys waiting to hit the surf. Did not see one trout landed this morning. Waves beat us all up. Switched over to San Luis Pass, bayside, had a couple of interested strikes, but no hook ups. Using all the usual lures and plastics.

Hopefully, better days ahead.
