Layed her down last night
Well crappp. Pulled up to a stop sign and wasnt paying attention , should have looked down and seen the water in the oil slick on the road. When my boot hit the pavement ,, swoosh. I tried with everything I had to keep her from dropping. She's just to heavy for me to hold. I did let her down softly. I think I pulled a cod tho from the strain..... No damage, unless ya count my ego. I had to wait for a car to come by and ask for help righting her... Three Hispanic men jumped out and righted her for me. I thanked them in broken Spanish and drove home with my tail tucked between my legs...

Been there done that only it was a gravel parking lot. Once they get to that breaking point there is no holding it up. All you can do it let her lay down softly. Glad thats all you did. No harm No foul.

Your ego? Ha! You got off easy! I did about the same thing a couple years ago at Sturgis - not more than 500 people saw it - 2 girl vendors in Daisy Duke shorts that were standing close started over to help me pick it (Road GLide) up. When I saw them comming I snatched it off the ground like it was a moped. Couldnt stand the thought of those 500 people watching the 2 hotties pick my bike up for me. Ego - toast!

Glad you and the ride didn't suffer any permanent damage. It's never a matter of "if" you're going to lay it down, but just a matter of "when" and how many people are watching. The more folks watching, the more likely to lay it down.

I rode a Suzuki Boulevard M50 for 5 years while i was going to college. I used to park it up next to the building and then zoom in to my class at the last moment before class started. One day i did it in a hurry, hopped off the back, and dang near let it hit the ground before i realized i didn't put the kick stand down. I caught it. OOPS!! Glad you're ok.

Thats the best way to lay a bike over if its going to happen. If you had done that moving, the end would of been different.
Glad your ok.
