Fly fishing High Lonesome Ranch - Colorado

I had the opportunity to escape the high winds of Galveston and head up to the High Lonesome Ranch just outside of Debeque, Colorado for a little flyfishing with expert guide Shannon Branham. I hooked over 20 Rainbows, Brownies and Brookies and we figured we netted and released about 15. Great ranch, scenic panorama, exquisite food and perfect weather.

Stayed there for a week two years ago. Caught a slam and had a great time. With Aunt Linda's breakfast I didn't want to leave.

How could I have forgotten to mention Aunt Linda! What a great cook and personality! I missed the slam by missing several chances at a cut throat, so you know I am going back!

I missed the slam the first three days without a Cut. Caught the slam the day before leaving and the Cut was the last one of the day.
I would live there if I could, oh to be younger again.
