If memory serves me, if you are the only heir, you claim house details as your own provided if you have another home with interest ded. the two don't exceed the amount allowed. I suppose the bank won't care who pays the bills. I would update those authorities that will send out property tax, insurance etc. to a new mailing address so you have all info for all deductions handy.
