well, that rally set a new shortness record for me. The Onan died within 10 minutes of parking. I changed the fuel filter (an engine makes a certain sound when it runs out of gas), and got it restarted. But, it would die after about 6 minutes of being started. I decided to drag the whole thing back to the house where I have all my tools, and not just a pouch. Turns out the fuel tank selector switch had some crud in it. While I was at it, I moved the fuel filter to a place where I can get at it a lot easier. Whoever the moron was that mounted it between the wheels on the frame never planned on changing it. It ran 24 hours straight after I got it all back together. Oh well, I would rather have to deal with something like that while I am close to the house. Next Thursday, we are heading to Beeville to run the Rune in the Texas mile and I would have been really bummed for it to have happened on that trip. Sad thing was, I had some really kewl neighbors, and one of the drier spots. I was just too loud out there to be able to hear the electric fuel pump or even the engine for that matter. I hope everyone else had a good time. I haven't seen that many cops on the roads coming into a rally since the last one of Dawgs on Hawgs in Sommerville. It pays to watch your speed around there.
