Question PerkStreet Financial Internet Bank

I was curious if any of you guys have looked into opening an account with PerkStreet Financial? I just opened a checking account with them and I'm looking forward to giving them a try based on a lot of positive reviews. They actually pay you 2% for every debit card transaction that you conduct.

I'm just sick of using B of A and haven't changed sooner just because of laziness. I originally heard of these guys through Dave Ramsey.

I haven't used perkstreet but I get cash back already at my local credit union for every purchase used on my debit card even if I run the transaction as credit. Post up what you think after you have been with them for a couple months, I hear their adds all the time when I listen to his show.

I feel your pain with BOA. My wife and I did the same thing after they decided to pay my bills before the scheduled day through bill pay and caused me to overdraft my account $500.00.

Careful. Generally only transactions swiped as a "credit card" without using a pin # qualify for rewards. They make less money off pin transactions, thus they are not in the reward program.

You are correct on earning perks for swiping it as a Credit instead of a debit. It hasn't caused any problems whatsoever.

I will say that I've been really happy with these guys since the move in September. I've already earned $100 in Perks! They are still facing some growing pains because they are rapidly growing, but I would score them a A+. I still plan to have all of my BoA accounts closed by the end of the year.
