Bounce power pro on core reel

When using power pro braid on a core reel do you need to put a layer of mono on the spool and then tie the power pro to the mono or can you just tie the power pro to the spool? I have had braid cut into the spool on some other reels

Backing

I always use about 30 ft of backing, seems like the mono seats better on the spool and won't slip. Then just tie mono to power pro.

plus, you can spool up 2 reels with the same amount of braid if you use backing. I use about 41ft of 15lb mono.

use at least 15 ft of mono for backing. then use the mono-braid knot or the albright knot to tie together and you're good to go.

This works fine until you start casting to where the knot is. The knot doesn't like going through the line guide or the guides.

Similar reel capacity - my Chronarch 100D7 has 1 ft 20# mono and 110 yds 20# Sufix braid.

I agree - I have tried them all and I do mean all in the 30# size and PP is by far the best in all wind conditions. Suffix is probably right behind Fireline in my opinion as far as the worst.
