Kiowa Springs Ranch in Meridian has them. Or I should say HAD one. A friend of mine shot one in October. I will try to find the picture and post it. I think he may have another one, but not to sure of that. The owner of the place said he was going to get some more.
Several years ago I went on a hunt to the Galloway ranch near Pearsall. They had several white elk. Including one nice 5x5 that would walk through the front yard. (they felt safe there, and you could get pretty close to them.) I think this is now the Knowlton's Laguna Vista Ranch. Uncle Ted had a couple of shows at this ranch air recently.
I saw a cow elk like this in north west Colorado last year. She was not a true albino in that her face and bottoms of her legs were brown and the rest of her body was white...this was on public land.
I usted to raise them there not that rare quite a few ranches in texas raise them and they don't raise them just to shoot them but to keep the breed going but once the bulls get to old to breed or you have too many offspring you have too get rid of them someway and atleast get some of your money back!!!
