Yes Virginia, it's not the best duck season that we've ever had. However, I think everyone would have to admit that we are so very overdue for a seriously tough season.

With a lot of scouting, constant tactical shifts, and more audibles than a Colts game, we have managed to keep our head above water. When the weather goes slack and the bays go calm, there isn't much we can do with the birds. Give us some wind, and we'll make the best of it just like this passed weekend. With a front approaching our stretch of coastal waters around 9:30 on Saturday, our guest slept in while we monitored the skies. At 9:00am, we left The Lodge and at 11:30am we returned with full 8 man limits. We know our water and our birds like relatives at this point. Sunday we broke for our birds before dawn and managed full limits again. Weather, keep it coming.
