I have been doing alot of duck hunting on the Colorado River and several private ponds. I was wanting to know if any of you had any tips on how to set up a good spread.

have you had a chance to observe the way the ducks naturally sit in the areas you hunt? One strategy is to observe and copy what you see. That can strategy can be a good starting place, if its effective fine tune it with motion from a jerk cord and proper concealment for yourself. If its not effective, problem solve it. Ask yourself what factors are at play? Bottom line is if the ducks want to be where where you are its seems like you can do no wrong in terms of spread, calling and concealment, but if they are at all shy any detail could attract or repel them.
