1994 Hydra Sports"Hydra Skiff"

Looking at a19'with a 150 on it, I do not have any experience with hydra sports, how is the quality compared to say, a kenner? kind of resembles a kenner style hull.
if H.S. has the quality of bayliner or bayhawk, i want to steer away from it.

The hs vector series are a heavy duty solid riding boat... Thick transom & the hull has a layer of kevlar in it. I dont know much about the hydra skiff but hs is known for building good boats. Nothing like a bayliner...

97 Hydra Skiff

I have a 97 21ft Hydra Skiff with a 150 Johnson. I bought it about 4 years ago and can say that it is one of the most solid boats I have ever had. I had a 18ft Bayhawk before and there is no comparison in the quality. I talked to a couple of people at different boats shops before buying it and they stated that HS is on the upper end of quality. They are really known for making solid offshore boats that actually retain their value well.

The only thing about the Hydra Skiff is that it is a boat that HS made to try to do everything. It really does not do any one thing great however it does okay with everything. It will run somewhat shallow about 1ft, it handles big waves ok not great and you can run offshore with it on a good day. I have never regreted buying mine and I know it will be around and in good shape for a long time.

Dont let the quality hold you back if it is what you want and is a good deal then go for it.

Pm me if you want to know anything else as I dont check the board that often.
