I would think his tarsal glands would be larger and darker if he was that old - 6.5+. There's no noticeable sway back. I know he's got some ribs showing, but other than that his face is long and narrow like a doe. He is a beaut however old he is.
I caint tell how many points. Looks like an nice 8 to me. I will say mature deer. I have quit trying to guess exact age anymore. Its just too tough to do. Deer I would guess in low 130's if an 8. Heck of an 8
He is a nine point. I have some younger deer with better racks, but hoping all the hunters will let them walk. This deer on the left is an eleven point.
I guess you're going to have to really look at him when he shows up. Does he walk smooth and graceful like a "College Athlete" (2.5-3.5), seasoned professional athlete(4.5- 5.5), or stiff like an arthritic old man(6.5 +)?
