I got on a deer lease this year, got my stand put up, tried planting
some rye grass to attract some deer. I know it is too late to do any-
thing this year...
Please comment on my plan for next years food plot...I'd like some
brutally honest input if this is worth the effort....
My lease is in Montgomery County along Peach Creek.
Food plot size 1/8 to 1/4 acre, mostly in the sun.

1. Have the soil sampled...See if I need to fertilize or add mineral(s)
2. Use herbicide to kill poision oak, ivy, and sumac
3. Use a roto tiller to till the plot
4. Plant a couple food items [clover, chichory, ect]hopefully reoccurring
5. Find a water source within 600' and pipe it to the plot
6. Try to make sure the plot gets sufficient h2o [at least 1"-2" week]

Let me know what you guys with food plot experience have to say...
Thanks,
