Thats awesome! Where ya hunting at, looks like the same kind of terrain we used to hunt, sure you are further west though. Question.....what would you have to do if you shot it(legal wise)? I dont recall seeing a tag for elk, or maybe I just dont pay attention!

I was at a private ranch on River Road 2 weekends ago - kicking myself for not bringing the camera.
Heard an elk bugling while we were gathering firewood. Finally saw him - he walked out into the middle of a creek and laid down - was one of the most incredible sights I've ever seen in the Hill Country - aside from some of the tubers on the Guad.
We saw him again later at about 10 yards - yeah, he's a pet I'm guessing - busted off his right main beam, but would have been an incredible 7x7 - I mean a real trophy in just about anyone's book.
I lease 4600 acres of LOW FENCE between Rocksprings and Brackettville. And yes we do have a fairly large herd of Elk on the place. I have had the place for 6 years now but the biologist says they have been there for a long time. We have only taken 4 elk in 6 years. We are trying to let them grow
