There is a cold front due hit Houston early this afternoon. The temps in West and Central Texas have already dropped substanially.
I'm getting pretty itchy at this point and I am looking forward to cooler weather for High Plains this weekend. I'll bet yalls pups are getting pretty stirred up as well.
Great pictures but when I see icecicles on the front of the air boat, I don't care if they are all greenheads I think it is too cold. I do wish they had more mallards in the Coastal Bend and around Garwood.
you guys are playing with my emotions....LOL....and my trigger finger is getting mighty itchy. Hopfully, my hunt on opening day will help with the itching.
My buddies and I have been saving sea grass out of Goose Island State park for years. We aways hit them the 1st week after the split in early December. We seem to hammer trout and reds in the afternoons in potholes behind San Jose and Mustang Islands.
