Started showing up on my pics last week. Seems like a decent candidate for a cull.
He's definitely one of trash bucks we have coming to our feeders. Everything else is pretty decent although fairly young.PortATrout said:If he is over 2.5 years old (which I definitely think he is) he certainly fits all of the criteria of a cull or management buck on a lot of ranches . Only reason not to shoot that deer is if he is on the upper end of your herd. Without knowing what the rest of the deer look like on your place it is difficult to say. I think we need to look at the overall herd before making a decision to harvest a deer as a cull.
I hate call any deer "trash"....however some are more desirable to us hunters than others.Fresh2Salt said:He's definitely one of trash bucks we have coming to our feeders. Everything else is pretty decent although fairly young.
